CAST Spotlight Scholarship Program

At CAST & Crowns PAC, we understand the diverse challenges our students and their families may face. In fall 2022, we launched the CAST Spotlight Scholarship Program as part of our Non-Profit 501c3 initiative to provide opportunities for families who might not otherwise afford to introduce or keep their children in the arts.

This program’s mission is to offer full tuition scholarships to CAST students identified as needing assistance. Many of these students come from foster or adoptive families, single-income households, or have special needs, often facing physical or emotional challenges.

As a Non-Profit 501c3, we are dedicated to using scholarships to ensure every student has the chance to participate in the arts. The performing arts have proven to be a therapeutic and transformative outlet, and we are committed to ensuring that no student is turned away due to financial need.

Chalan's Spotlight Scholarship

In July 2004, Director Christy Sanders adopted her daughter, Chalan, from Guatemala, inspiring the creation of the CAST Spotlight Scholarship Program. Adoptive and foster families often face significant financial challenges, leaving little room for extracurricular activities like the performing arts. To ensure no child is turned away, we launched Chalan’s Spotlight Scholarship, providing support for underserved students in foster or adoptive care. These children, many of whom have faced trauma or neglect, benefit from a safe and nurturing environment where they can heal and thrive. For more information about this program, please contact us.

Heroes Spotlight Scholarship

With our close proximity to Fort Campbell, many CAST students come from military families. To support them, we offer the Heroes Spotlight Scholarship, with special preference given to Wounded Warrior and Gold Star Families. Military children often face frequent relocations and separations, and we strive to provide them with a home away from home through the arts. CAST serves as a safe and therapeutic outlet for military students, helping them navigate the challenges of military life. We are deeply grateful to the men and women who serve our country and are honored to support their families.

First Responder Spotlight Scholarship

The First Responders Spotlight Scholarship supports children of paramedics, law enforcement, and firefighters serving in Clarksville, Tennessee. This program provides these children the opportunity to take classes at no cost as a thank-you for their families’ dedication to protecting our community. Clarksville’s first responders are true heroes, and this is our way of showing gratitude for their service.

Shining Stars Spotlight Scholarship

In Spring 2023, CAST & Crowns began offering adaptive dance classes for children and adults with special needs in Clarksville. With Christy’s 37 years of experience and expertise in Kinesiology and Christian Counseling, we provide a safe, inclusive environment for performers with conditions like Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, and Williams Syndrome. These classes include an adult day program and a children’s adaptive dance class, making us the only performing arts center in Clarksville to offer such opportunities. We are honored to serve these incredible students and proudly partner with SEASONS, a ministry of First Presbyterian Church.

Children's Arts Scholarship

We are always looking for individuals or business to sponsor students to participate in the arts. If you, or someone you know, would like to make a donation towards a scholarship for a student, please contact Christy at info@castandcrowns.com.
